PHYSICS FORM 4

For my students, this is the answer for PEKA 1: PENDULUM

Inference (C1S1P1) : The period of oscillation is depends on length of pendulum
Hypothesis (C1S1P2) : If the length of pendulum increase, the period of oscillation will be increase
Aim (C1S1P3) : To study the relationship between length of pendulum and period of oscillation
Hypothesis (C1S1P4) : Manipulated variable: Lengthe of pendulum
                                     Responding variable: Periiod of oscillation
Fixed variable: Mass of pendulum bob

List of apparatus (C1S2P1) : pendulum bob, stop watch, metre ruler, thread, retort stand
Arrangement of apparatus (C1S2P2); Refer prac book
Procedure (C1S2P3) : Refer prac book (passive sentence)
Table of result (C1S2P4) : 1) make sure the unit of all variable is correct
                                         2) make sure the decimal point is correct and base on what istrument u use
                                              (C3P1.C3P2,C3P3,C3P4)
Graph : Draw grapf of Period of oscillation against length of pendulum
             1) Title of graph : Graph of Period of oscillation versus Length of pendulum (C4P1)
              2) Uniform scale (C4P2)
              3) Shape ; staright line graph and size >80% of graph paper (C4P3)
              4) Show calculation and gradient (C4P4)
             5) Extrapolation point : x-axis or y-axis (C4P5)

Conclusion (C4P6): Hypotesis is accepted. The period of oscillation is increasing linearly with the incresing of length of pendulum

Precaution steps (C4P7); 1) Let the pendulum swings freely in a single plane
                                        2) do not count time taken for the first oscillation
